Rx2BFIT Reviews — Peptide Therapy Consultation

What should a peptide therapy consultation establish first?

Identify the problem before the substance

Rx2BFIT lists peptide therapy for recovery, performance and wellness, with several distinct substances under that heading. A shared label does not mean the products have the same evidence, regulatory status or risks. Begin with the symptom or goal you actually want evaluated. Describe its history, current conditions and medicines, and ask whether an ordinary diagnostic evaluation or another form of care should come first. A consultation should be able to conclude that no peptide is appropriate.

Ask for the exact product and evidence

Request the precise substance, formulation, route of administration and intended use. Ask which human studies support a meaningful benefit for that same use, and whether the product is FDA-approved for it. Some peptides promoted for wellness have limited human evidence. The FDA identifies potential safety concerns for certain bulk substances used in compounding, including BPC-157 and ipamorelin. A biological mechanism or a clinic testimonial is not a substitute for a clinical trial or a clear explanation of uncertainty.

Clarify supervision and follow-up

  • Who decides whether the product is appropriate?
  • Where would it come from and who verifies its identity and quality?
  • What known risks and unknowns apply to this formulation?
  • What outcome would show a useful benefit?
  • When would the plan be changed or stopped?

Ask about the full cost of evaluation, product and monitoring before agreeing. If the response blurs an approved product with an investigational or compounded one, request clarification in writing.

Keep the clinical record coherent

If you see more than one provider, ask what information about a proposed peptide will be shared with your usual medical team. The clinician should know about existing diagnoses, allergies, medicines and supplements before making a recommendation. If a previous product was obtained elsewhere, disclose that history rather than trying to fit it into a new plan quietly. Coordinated records help another clinician understand a new symptom later. They also make it easier to avoid duplicating tests or assuming that an elective wellness product has already been medically reviewed. For a compounded product, ask which pharmacy prepares it and whether human evidence covers that exact formulation and route.
